Two of the three Edmonds City Councilmembers who have filed to retain their current positions this year now have official opposition, according to the Washington State Public Disclosure Commission.
Randy Hayden, an Edmonds resident who unsuccessfully ran against 32nd District State Rep. Cindy Ryu last November, has filed to oppose Kristiana Johnson, who was appointed to serve out the Edmonds City Council term left vacant by Michael Plunkett’s resignation in 2012.
Former Edmonds Councilmember Ron Wambolt will run to recapture the seat he lost from first-term Councilmember Adrienne Fraley-Monillas.
Councilmember Strom Peterson so far is unopposed.
