Edmonds-Woodway High School back-to-school information, including this week’s Warrior Walk details


warrior logoIf you have a student attending Edmonds-Woodway High School this fall, here’s the latest on upcoming events plus 2013-2014 school year information:

Freshmen Orientation: For Grade 9 Only (Parents are also welcome as there are planned activities for them as well)
Monday, Aug. 26 – Begins at 9 a.m. sharp; ends at noon)
Purpose: To prepay/order yearbook, ASB card, update address/contact information; tour the school, meet staff and mentors, etc.)

New Student Orientation:
Aug. 28

Warrior Walk (10th – 12th grade only):
Aug. 28 – drop-in between 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Purpose: To prepay/order yearbook, ASB card, parking permit, and/or student planner; clear fines/fees; update address/contact information, etc.

Schedules will ONLY be available on-line via Skyward Family Access on Aug. 28.

School pictures will be taken on Sept.5-6. (Picture packets will be distributed during the first day of school.)

School Supplies – Please make sure that each student has a good, supportive backpack; and a supply of notebook paper, pens and pencils on the first day of school. Each teacher will supply a list of needs on his/her syllabus during the first day or two of school that is tailored to fit each individual course/class.

School begins on Wednesday, Sept. 4.
Students will not receive their official schedule until the first day of school on Sept. 4. School begins at 7:30 a.m. and all students are required to pick up their “Official Class Schedule” prior to 7:15 a.m. Sept. 4 in the gymnasium. An official schedule is required in order to be admitted into the classroom. Parents and students may access a tentative class schedule by logging in to Skyward Family Access after Aug. 28.

2013-2014 school year information

The following items will be available for pre-pay during Warrior Walk and Freshmen Orientation; otherwise they will be available for purchase at the ASB Office during lunch, before and after school. (Please make checks payable to “Edmonds School District”.)

ASB cards – $45
Yearbooks – $50 (See the ASB staff for the order form)
Student Planners – $5  (All 9th grade students receive one free student planner)
Parking Permits – $60  (Please request application forms in Attendance Office.

All classes will be in session on the first day of school in order of periods 1-6.
