Second 2013 mural now completed across from Edmonds Museum
From the Edmonds Mural Society comes the news that muralist Ellen Clark has finished painting her vibrant slice of history right across the alley from the Edmonds Historical Museum, just north of the fountain.
“Ellen’s concept takes us way back in time with structures used by the original native inhabitants of this area,” an email from the Mural Society explained. “Then, adventurers came and saw how awesome it was. Thus followed the logging and fishing industries. A ferry brings us closer to the present day. And then Ellen whimsically takes us forward into a possible future with the Trans-Sound Skywalk.”
The Mural Society notes that Sound Disposal has given permission for the silver dumpster now in front of the mural to be painted a coordinating blue.
The final mural of the season, “Changing Times” by Andy Eccleshall, will now begin taking shape at 111 4th Ave North, on the alley-facing wall of Embellished. It is the Mural Society’s largest mural to date.
