Edmonds City Council to hold public hearings on sewer rate increase, incentive zoning amendments
The Edmonds City Council will hold two public hearings Tuesday night: one on a proposed increase in sewer rates and the other about proposed amendments to the Edmonds Community Development Code governing incentive zoning — including setbacks and height limits –that have generated citizen comments regarding the recently built apartments on Edmonds Way.
The council will also:
- Hear a Quarterly Report from the Planning Board.
- Have discussion and take possible action to authorize funding legal fees for the Point Edwards Building 10 closed record review from the Council Contingency Fund. The council is also scheduled to establish procedures for the closed record review of the Architectural Design Board’s decision to approve the Point Edwards building. That review is scheduled for Oct. 15
- Hear a presentation on the Capital Facilities Plan (2014-2019) and the Capital Improvement Program (2014-2019).
- Discuss and take possible action regarding a budget amendment to fund the Development Services Director for the remainder of 2013 and to fund recruitment.
The council is scheduled to convene in executive session for an hour starting at 6 p.m. to discuss labor negotiations, and then will also have an additional executive session at the end of the meeting regarding pending or potential litigation.
