More 2014 budget presentations at Edmonds City Council Tuesday meeting
Updated to include Sister City proclamation information.
Discussion about the City of Edmonds 2014 proposed budget continues at Tuesday night’s city council meeting, with the police and public works departments making presentations, followed by public comment.
- Mayor Dave Earling will read a proclamation in honor of the 25th Anniversary of the Edmonds/Hekinan Sister City Relationship. The entire Hekinan delegation, which is visiting Edmonds this week, will be present.
- Michelle Ginder, Sound Transit Project Lead, will provide a status report on planning for the Lynnwood extension of the light rail line from Northgate.
- James Zachor and Melanie Thomas-Dane of the law firm of Zachor & Thomas, which serves as the city’s prosecutor, will present their annual report.
- Sandy Chase, who is retiring as city clerk after 20 years of service, will be recognized.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the council chambers, Public Safety Complex, 250 5th Ave. N. The council will also hold executive sessions, closed to the public, to discuss litigation from 6-7 p.m. and again immediately following the meeting.
