Edmonds Museum’s newest exhibit presents 40 years of artifacts
The Edmonds Historical Museum opens its newest exhibit with a look back at its 40 years of history. The exhibit, “40 for 40: Forty years of artifacts from the museum’s collection,” opens at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, and runs through Feb. 9.
The Edmonds-South Snohomish County Historical Society and Museum celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, and the exhibition highlights artifacts from its tenure. Items on display include the first item ever donated to the museum, the most recent donation, staff favorites, and Mayor’s choice. Come see the first flag to fly over the Edmonds Post Office, military artifacts, a unique hair curler, and much, much more. Visitors will experience the museum’s archives like never before.
The Edmonds Historical Museum is located at 118 5th Ave. N. in downtown Edmonds. It is open Wednesday through Sunday from 1-4 p.m. Suggested donation is $5 per adult and $2 per child. For more information, go to historicedmonds.org.
