Edmonds Tunes to expand to two venues, with local teen comic joining show
Teen comedian Calvin Martin is joining Edmonds Tunes, weekly event of live music and standup comedy that occurs every Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. in downtown Edmonds.
Martin ran two sets of the show last Friday night as regular comedian Happy Ham Jeff Stilwell stood aside.
“I’m not a Happy Ham,” Martin said. “In fact, I’m a Happy Ham in training.”
“More like a ‘Glad Ham’ maybe,” he added.
The 17-year-old Martin, a senior at Mountlake Terrace High School, is slated to run the show at Red Petal Coffee House, 321 Main St., on Friday nights. Stilwell will be moving on to Cafe Louvre, starting Oct. 25, as Edmonds Tunes expands to a second venue. There is no cover charge.
Interested musicians can contact event scheduler Manya Vee at Scheduler@EdmondsTunes.org. More information is available at EdmondsTunes.org or Facebook.com/EdmondsTunes, or 425-776-3778 or by visiting 409 Main Street.
