KCTS-9′s Elizabeth Perera selected for Edmonds Center for Arts post
Edmonds Center for the Arts has selected Elizabeth Perera for the position of Director of Advancement and Communications. She replaces Jamie Herlich, who recently took a job with the Seattle Repertory Theatre.
Perera, who was most recently with KCTS 9 as Director of Major Giving, will oversee a team of three at ECA; Development Manager, Education & Outreach Manager and Communications Manager.
According to Monday’s Edmonds Center for the Arts announcement, Perera “has extensive experience in developing strategy, building and nurturing relationships and creating compelling communications to achieve mission-driven goals. Her ongoing passion for the arts is what spurred her career in non-profit management and the majority of her past work experience has been with arts organizations ranging from Kirkland Performance Center to the Seattle Symphony.
“Edmonds Center for the Arts provides a vibrant cultural resource for our community. I’m passionate about the important role of the arts in our lives, and I’m thrilled to be joining the ECA team to help raise support for this great organization”, Perera said in the announcement.
“Elizabeth is an excellent communicator, and is extremely skilled in relationship development and management. She will bring tremendous energy and leadership to a talented team of people dedicated to building even stronger relationships with our audience members, donors, sponsors, educators and community leaders and propel ECA forward into the future,” said ECA Executive Director Joe McIalwain.
Perera will start her job on Nov. 11.
