Local writers are invited to attend EPIC’s Publishing and Marketing Workshop this Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in the Frances Anderson Center. Speakers include Judith Gille, who was recently featured in the New York Times, traditionally-published authors Waverly Fitzgerald and Josephine Ensign, hybrid-published author Mary Oak, and marketing expert Cynthia Hartwig, whose clients include Microsoft.
“EPIC’s goal is to keep the spirit of Write on the Sound (WOTS) going throughout the year,” said EPIC Group Writers President Janette Turner. “WOTS is just one weekend, so EPIC fills in the rest of the year with frequent events to support writers around Edmonds.”
Speakers will offer tips on getting published and promoting work through social media and traditional news sources. For more information on nonprofit EPIC Group Writers, or to register for the workshop, see the EPIC Group website.
