Book reading at Revelations Yogurt Dec. 23 to support children living with cancer around the world
The Edmonds-based Max Foundation, which is dedicated to improving the lives and survival rates of patients with blood cancer and rare cancers worldwide, is presenting a reading of the book “Maximo and the Big C” at Revelations Yogurt, 526 Main St., from 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23.
Revelations Yogurt has agreed to donate 10 percent of yogurt sales and tips during the reading to support distribution of copies of the book to children around the world facing cancer. Everyone is welcome; all children who attend the reading will receive their own copy of “Maximo and the Big C.”
According to the Max Foundation announcement, the book “illustrates each person’s inner power to overcome the fear and adversity by serving others in need. Written by a team of MAX cancer advocates and produced by The Max Foundation, the book was created to inspire children affected by cancer to be brave and courageous in the face of adversity.”
