Future Educational Goals: I’m unsure. I do know that I eventually will want to go in for a degree but as I don’t know the present field that I want to study, things are shaky at best.

Future Educational Goals: I want to get into Running Start next year, graduate from high school and get an associate’s degree in science. My long-term educational goal is to get into a dental school.
Future Career Goals: My future career goal is to become a dentist.
Anything else we should know? I enjoy painting and drawing. I also like editing and designing, using several different designing programs (Photoshop, Comic Life, etc.)

Athletics: Participated in the Lynnwood High School Cross-Country and Track teams.
Awards: I have been nominated Runner of the Week on the LHS cross-country team during this year’s cross-country season; gained a silver medal in the National Latin Exam in the eighth grade (while taking a Latin II course); and received a black belt at the Jungyae Moosul martial arts academy when I was in the fifth grade.
Community Service: I helped on the various culminating slideshows for Northwest Church’s “Kidz Camp.”
Future Educational Goals: I have briefly toyed with the idea of attending Washington State University post-high school. Also, starting from my Junior year onwards, I will be participating in Running Start.
Future Career Goals: I want to engage in a writing career; my two chief choices thus far are either film criticism or science-fiction writing. If this doesn’t play out as well as I would have hoped, I will turn to voice-acting (video games, cartoons, animated films, etc).
Anything else we should know? A general shout out to my parents and to my excellent teachers for helping me excel during my first two years of high school.

Clubs & Activities: Edmonds-Woodway High Debate Club; Girl Scout Ambassador (my 11th year in Scouts)
ASB: ASB Historian
Honors: Appointed as one of six teen delegates representing all of Girl Scouts of Western Washington, to debate and vote on proposed by-law changes at the 52nd National G Convention in Houston, TX in Nov. 2011 (a 3-year term). I’m serving my fourth consecutive yearly term as an elected local delegate for service unit 245. I’m a National Honor Society member.
Community Service: I have been yearly camp aide for Girl Scouts’ summer community camp. I also help host the Edmonds Memorial Cemetery Memorial Day ceremony every year with my troop. I’ve participated in countless food drives and hours at Food Lifeline; also I volunteered for Freezin’ for a Reason this year with my classmates and was a volunteer “victim” for Edmonds C.E.R.T. trainees. As a Girl Scout, worked on recruiting events at local elementary schools and I tutor math.
Current Employment: Regular weekly and occasional babysitting
Future Educational Goals: Full International Baccalaureate Candidate. I hope to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and possibly minor in art history.
Future Career Goals: I plan on a career behind the scenes in the political realm, such as a pundit, strategist, campaign manager, etc.
Anything else we should know? I scored seven out of seven on my International Baccalaureate Art History exam. My Girl Scout troop toured four European countries this past summer, and we’re currently hosting our second foreign exchange student in my home—loving every minute of life!

Clubs and Activities: I am the President of the Multimedia Club, where I lead a team in making an animated film project. The club has been working on this film about the realities of depression and suicide 2012; I am also a member of the Edmonds-Woodway High School robotics team for the FIRST Robotics Competition. We make robots every year in order to compete in games such as basketball or Frisbee. I was part of the team during its first year and part of the Evil-Genius Club my freshman year, which eventually became the robotics team. Last year, we placed 16th out of 64 teams.
ASB: Starting my senior year, I became an ASB senator to help in school affairs.
Athletics: On occasion, I play Ultimate Frisbee ™ and Frisbee ™ golf.
Honors: I was the Junior Homecoming Prince in the 2012-2013 school year.
Awards: I received an outstanding achievement in photography 1 in my sophomore year and two outstanding achievements in International Baccalaureate in mathematics, standard level, and IB physics my junior year.
Community Service: For my whole entire time at Edmonds-Woodway, I have been tutoring various people on subjects such as mathematics, Chinese, chemistry, and physics. However, I mostly tutor mathematics and during the summer of 2013, I participated in the Edmonds-Woodway math tutoring program to help elementary to high school-age students.
Culminating Project: I am exempt from the Culminating Project since I’m trying to get my full diploma for the International Baccalaureate program. However, I did an extended essay in its place.
Future Educational Goals: I hope to continue my education at a university such as UC Berkeley to double major in materials and computer engineering (or even triple major also with electrical engineering if at UC Berkeley). I also hope to get a masters degree.
Future Career Goals: I hope to be an electronics engineer and work on new materials for computer electronics. I have always wanted to make computers run faster on a hardware level and this is my career goal. Maybe a company such as Intel would be a place where I could pursue this goal.
Anything else we should know? During my junior year, I took my IB Mathematics Standard Level test and achieved a seven, the highest score. During my senior year, I took the mathematics section of the Accuplacer exam and achieved a perfect score. Right now, I am taking a full IB diploma course load. As part of that process, I am writing an extended essay about file compression.
Meadowdale High School

Culminating Project: I’ll use my conditioning and training experience to work as an assistant basketball coach for a non-profit organization that gives back to the community.

Future Educational Goals: Doane College, Neb., BA in Business; college baseball pitcher

Anything else we should know? I’m focusing on my academics and athletics has kept me driven to succeed in school and into a great college where I can earn my degree and play baseball.
Clubs and Activities: I participated with the Black Student Union for three years. I wrote a speech that was delivered in the Martin Luther King assembly at MHS. I also wrote for The Maverick Newspaper my junior year. I’m a Link Leader and have been a member of the National Honor Society since sophomore year.
Athletics: I Started playing tennis as a singles player for Meadowdale High’s girls tennis my sophomore year.
Honors: Including this year, I’ve received five advanced placements and six honors. I was selected to join the Global Young Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C.
Community Service: I help local mosques with events and sermons and have tutored and volunteered in the library.
Culminating Project: I do reading interventions and progress monitoring at Meadowdale Elementary with students who struggle in reading, especially with fluency and understanding.
Future Educational Goals: To attend the University of Washington and major in mechanical engineering.
Scriber Lake High School

Culminating Project: I am going to present the senior project panel with a sample of my cooking and present a slideshow on why I love to cook and how it became my passion.
Future Educational Goals: I am striving to gain a 4.0 GPA before I graduate from Scriber Lake High School.
Future Career Goals: At first I wanted to be in the cooking industry but over the past couple of months I’ve developed a passion for computers and math.
Athletics: I played football and threw shot put and discus in track.
Culminating Project: I wrote, directed and acted in a sci-fi action movie. The short film “Proximity” will be re-shot this summer with better special effects.
Current Employment: I work at Fitness 19 in Mountlake Terrace.
Future Educational Goals: I want to go to college and study cinematography, film production and animation.
