Edmonds Parks & Rec offers winter hiking, bald eagle rafting trips Jan. 4

Looking for something fun to do after the holiday rush is over? How about a hiking trip to Cedar Butte or a Bald Eagle raft adventure on the Skagit River? Both trips are being offered on Saturday, Jan. 4, and you can register for either one with Edmonds Parks and Recreation, 425-771-0230 or at www.reczone.org.

Cedar Butte is an easy 4-mile hike in Iron Horse State Park, and the fee of $47 ($54 for non-residents of Edmonds) includes round-trip transportation from Edmonds.

The Bald Eagle Raft Adventure is guided by Pacific Northwest Float Trips, and begins in Rockport on the Skagit River. The fee of $58 includes a hot lunch but no transportation from Edmonds is provided. This same trip is also offered on Jan. 18.
