Looking to help some four-legged friends this holiday season? Cindy Remick, manager of Edmonds Veterinary Hospital, provided this tip:

“We have a pet giving tree that will be up all month. This year’s drive benefits Homeward Pets Adoption Center. In addition we also accept pet food donations that are distributed through the Edmonds Food Bank.

“We have had various pet food and supply drives every year since 1995, benefiting a host of local shelters and rescue organizations. In addition to the food and supply drive, we encourage pet owners to avoid feeding their pets table scraps and keep bones and chocolate safely put away. No one wants a sick pet over the holidays. With that in mind, we brought in pet-friendly Christmas treats: Turkey/Cranberry and Pumpkin/Sweet Potato for purchase.

“Edmonds Veterinary Hospital was started in 1975 by Dr. Larry Remick. We have two associate DVMs: Dr. George Downs and Dr. Heidi Miller.” For more information, check out the website, or visit the clinic at 21111 84th Avenue West, Edmonds.
