Lots of hoops for local high school teams this weekend

If you’re looking to get out of the house and be entertained, the Meadowdale and Edmonds-Woodway basketball teams are ready to oblige. Both the boys and girls teams are playing this weekend.

The Meadowdale boys take on Bear Creek at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 27 at the Bellevue College High School Tournament. The Mavericks also play on Saturday and Monday at yet-to-be determined times.

The Meadowdale girls take on Holy Names Academy at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Dec. 27 at Juanita High School in the Overlake Tournament. The Mavericks then face Roosevelt at 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 28 and then W.F. West at 4:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 30, both at Juanita High School.

The Edmonds-Woodway boys play Highline at 4 p.m. Friday in the Bothell Holiday Tournament at Bothell High School, and will also play Saturday and Monday at times yet to be determined. The girls team hosts Marysville-Pilchuck in a 5 p.m. game Saturday at the EWHS gym.
