Girls basketball: Eck scores double-double in Warriors’ loss to Jackson Friday

Sidney Eck had a double-double in Edmonds-Woodway’s 58-52 loss to Jackson in girls basketball action Friday night on the Timberwolves’ home court.

Eck finished the game with 14 points and 18 rebounds, while junior Moni Jackson had 12 points and Mady Burdett added seven.

Jackson bounced back from an 11-point third-quarter deficit to give the Timberwolves the win. In the only other meeting between the two teams this season, the Warriors overcame a 22-point Jackson lead at Edmonds-Woodway to secure the victory.

The Warriors are now 6-5 league, 10-6 overall and tied with Kamiak for third place in Wesco South 4A. Jackson is 9-1, 13-2 overall and currently sits in second place behind Lynnwood (10-0, 14-1).
