graphixThe Everett Silvertips host Local Heroes Appreciation Night at 7:35 p.m., Friday, Jan. 31 at Comcast Arena in Everett.

Snohomish County first responders will be recognized during the game against the Seattle Thunderbirds.

This season’s event is the first year in which both agencies from law enforcement and fire departments will combine forces to raise money for the Snohomish County Law Enforcement Memorial Fund (SCLEMF) and the Snohomish County Firefighters Pipes and Drums (SCFFPD).

Special group rate tickets are available for $15 (upper level) and $20 (lower level) seats. $5 of each ticket sold will be donated to the charity funds. Tickets can be purchased at www.EverettSilvertips.com/LHN

Events for the evening include:

  • Denver Bronco Car Smash, hosted by Everett Fire (by the fountain on Hewitt and Lombard Aves.) prior to the game
  • Display of law enforcement agency motor units along the concourse prior to the game
  • Escort of Silvertips mascot, Lincoln, on the ice by police and fire vehicles
  • Presentation of the colors by combined honor guard units from SCSO, Everett PD, Everett FD, and Snohomish County Pipes and Drums
  • Puck drop by Everett PD Chief Kathy Atwood and Snohomish County SO Sheriff Ty Trenary
  • “Broom Ball” game between law enforcement and fire during first intermission
  • Performance by the Snohomish County Pipes and Drums
  • “Local Heroes Night” merchandise, including commemorative pucks, shirts and sweatshirts, and signed player jerseys
