List of candidates for appointment to Edmonds City Council

Former Edmonds City Councilmembers Ron Wambolt and Steve Bernheim are among those who have applied for the Position 6 City Council seat vacated by the resignation of Frank Yamamoto on Dec. 31. Alvin Rutledge and Randy Hayden, who along with Wambolt unsuccessfully ran for City Council seats last November, have also applied.

Among the other names on the list: Edmonds Planning Board members Val Stewart and Neil Tibbot, Sound Transit Marketing and Creative Services Director Tim E. Healey and D.A. Davidson financial consultant Timothy Schell.

The deadline for submitting applications for the vacant seat was Jan. 17; the full applications will be available for public viewing when they are included as part of the council agenda, likely by end of the day next Friday, Jan. 24. The city council is tentatively scheduled to interview candidates Jan. 28 and take a public vote on Feb. 4.

    • What does that mean?

      • Glenda, if you are asking about my comment above I was just trying to find out where the list came from. It is not on the city web site and based on the response from My Edmonds News and by the response of Ron Walmbolt elsewhere on My Edmonds News both parties got information from Council that was not made available to the general public.

        • Darrol – since both Ron and I received a copy I would imagine she would have provided a copy to anyone who requested it.
