A memorial service for Snohomish County Fire District 1 Capt. Don Navarre will take place Tuesday, Jan. 28, 1 p.m. at Westgate Chapel, 22901 Edmonds Way, Edmonds.
Capt. Navarre passed away Jan. 19 after a nine-year battle with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He was a 28-year veteran of the fire service. Most of his career was spent working in Mountlake Terrace where he served the community as a firefighter, paramedic, station officer and fire inspector. He is survived by his wife, Janet, and four daughters.
Motorists in Edmonds may experience minor traffic delays between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. tomorrow when a motorcade procession travels from Beck’s Funeral Home to Westgate Chapel. The procession is expected to leave 5th Avenue South and Beck Lane at 12:35 p.m., proceed south on 5th Avenue South to Edmonds Way; and southeast on Edmonds Way to Westgate Chapel.
