My Edmonds News is pleased to announce that Edmonds author Emily Hill has been named the new Artfully Edmonds columnist. Her first column will appear Thursday. If you have items of interest or event listings, please email them to her via firstname.lastname@example.org. Meanwhile, here is a message from Emily:
This year holds great promise for the Edmonds art scene with an array of events and performances sure to grab your interest and hold your attention.
My husband and I bought a home in downtown Edmonds 11 years ago knowing we could look forward to a wide variety of music – in both open-air and performance hall settings, dazzling art gallery openings, and the vibrant theater scene that Edmonds has to offer.
I am a writer by trade, having worked in news media relations for Weyerhaeuser Company and the University of Washington’s public information office. After retiring several years ago I opened a boutique publishing company, A.V. Harrison Publishing, where I found great joy being connected to Edmonds’ literary community. I closed my business this past December. It has been said that when one door closes, another one opens.
It will be a joy to bring to the readers of My Edmonds News peeks into the backstage scene, celebrity features, new-to-the-scene artist profiles, and event calendar news.
So, here’s to 2014 – I expect that it will be a very exciting year for Artfully Edmonds!
