Edmonds resident Jeff Millet, owner of Shoreline’s NorthCore Performance Training, invites local youth to a meet-and-greet with professional baseball players on Wednesday, Jan. 8 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Those players scheduled to appear include former Jackson High School standouts Travis Snider (Pittsburgh Pirates), Brent Lillibridge (Texas Rangers) and Geoff Brown (LA Dodgers), and Shorecrest High School player Pierce Rancin (Toronto Blue Jays).
The players will be discussing practice type and volume, hitting and pitching, healthy diet, recruiting processes for college and the MLB draft and the importance of school, as well as how to be a good role model for the team and community. There will also be an open Q & A session and a time for autographs.
NorthCore Performance Training is located at 1501 N. 200th St., Shoreline. On-site parking is limited, but more parking is available across the street near the bus terminal. www.northcoretraining.com
