Boys swimming: Meadowdale’s Flynn takes fourth in 100 butterfly, seventh in 200 freestyle

Meadowdale’s Chris Flynn took fourth place in the 100-yard butterfly and finished seventh in the 200 freestyle at the Class 3A state swimming championships Saturday at the King County Aquatic Center.

Flynn swam a time of 51.39 seconds in the 100 butterfly, which was .56 seconds faster than his preliminary time. The Meadowdale standout then clocked in with a 1.46.63 in the 200 freestyle, .84 seconds faster than his preliminary time.

Meadowdale’s 200 medley relay team of Jack Busby, Jordan Phipps, Flynn and Carson VanFarowe finished 14th.
