A tree falling on a power line caused a power outage in downtown Edmonds homes and businesses late Monday afternoon.
According to Snohomish County PUD, crews were sent to repair the problem. The power was restored around 5:30 p.m.

The power went off at about 4:15 and returned at about 5:30.
Does anyone know where the lines were breached? There are a number of places in town where trees not only tower above power and other utility lines but where trees are actually leaning at a pretty good angle toward the lines. Take a look along main street east of 9th avenue.
