Whale of a tale…
Fantastic pictures – what a treat for all of us:)
Thanks very much for taking the time to share, Craig. I gotta get down to the beach more!
Right place, right time 🙂
Wonderful shots! We’re so lucky to live here!
Great photos, and a reminder that we need to keep Puget Sound clean and livable for these spectacular mammals!
Thanks for sharing your photos! Such fun to see.
Talk about being in the right place at the right time with a camera! Great catch!
Glad I was able to share. I wish you all could have been there with me to see it in person.
Hi Craig,
That’s probably the best gray whale breach photo(s) ever from Puget Sound. Would you be interested in allowing us to display those at the new Langley Whale Center on Whidbey?
So awesome!!
Howard, yes I would share my photos with you if you can provide me your contact info.

Big time jealous!!!
You should copyright these photos and post them on Flickr. They are exceptional!
Crazy beautiful. Thank you for sharing these. They are truly spectacular.
Nature’s coming back. I grew up in Edmonds in the 50’s / 60’s and spent many a day on the waterfront, beach, or out off Edmonds in our little sailboat. Never did I see a whale, sea lion, seal, otter, eagle, or anything besides a seagull or flounder. Now you can find all of those. Nice to see Mother Nature making a comeback.
Beautiful! Whales never cease to amaze me. Thanks for sharing!
What great shots! I wish I were there to see it in person. I bet I was at work and in front of a computer at the time. I’m also very jealous!
