If you’ve ever wanted to travel to China, the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce is making it easy and affordable with a trip planned for Oct. 11-20, 2014; and those who pay in full by March 31 will get a $150 discount.

According to Chamber Membership and Events Director Valerie Claypool, the chamber took advantage of an opportunity to participate in a “turnkey” style tour operated by Citslinc for chambers of commerce. The tour is open to anyone in the community, regardless of whether one is a chamber member.

The trip includes round-trip airfare between Seattle and Beijing, and tours of Beijing (including the Great Wall, Tian An Men Square, the Forbidden City, and the Lama Temple), Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou. Lodging is in 4- or 5-star hotels, and three daily meals and entry fees for attractions are included.

Cost is $2,628 per person, including tax, and credit card payments are welcome.

The official deadline to register for the trip is Aug. 1 but Claypool hopes that those considering the trip will make their purchase or indicate “strong interest” no later than May 31. To learn more, email her at valerie@edmondswa.com.
