Edmonds fashion show to benefit military families

cest la vieCircle Thursday, May 8 on your calendar for Operation Fashion Forward — a charity fashion show at the Edmonds Yacht Club aimed at celebrating and supporting military families. The show, which runs from 2-4 p.m.,  is sponsored by C’est la Vie boutique and Operation Military Family Cares.

Participants will enjoy food and beverages from Edmonds’ finest restaurants, while local military spouses and family members model the latest spring fashions from C’est la Vie. Proceeds raised from the event will aid military veterans in need of employment and emergency services.

“This is a great way to celebrate spring and support our military families at the same time!” said C’est la Vie owner Colleen Bowman. “Our mission at C’est la Vie is to show women how to look and feel great in any occasion, and Operation Military Family Cares (OMF Cares) is the perfect partner to help us share our mission with military families.“

Added Operation Military Family and OMF Cares Founder Mike Schindler: “Events like this offer a great way to show our support for our Veterans and their families. And with unemployment and homeless rates for veterans at alarming levels, we’re so grateful to see businesses like C’est La Vie inspiring all of us to make a difference in the lives of our military families.”

A portion of sales will go toward OMF Cares initiatives related to combating homelessness and improving the health and welfare of military and veteran families. Ticket sales are $25 per person online or $30 at the door. Advanced ticket purchases are recommended. You can learn more here.
