Edmonds School Board seeks candidate for open director position
Nomination forms are due April 4. You can nominate yourself or another community member residing within Director District No. 4. Nominated individuals will be invited to apply for the position.
Candidate applications are due April 17. Even if a nomination form has not been submitted, the district will accept your application up until April 17.
School Board President Susan Phillips, who served from Director District No. 4, resigned her position earlier this month in order to concentrate on her family and support her husband through a health issue.
Nominees must reside in Director District No. 4. To determine whether a community member resides within Director District No. 4, there are several options:
– A general map outlining the Director Districts;
– A map including school locations within each Director District;
– A description of the Director District boundaries; or
– Contact Chris Hansen at 425-431-7003 or email@example.com
The appointed candidate would serve until the next regularly scheduled School Board election in November 2015. The person elected in November 2015 would need to run for a full, four-year term in November 2017.
The Edmonds School District serves 19,000 students from the communities of Brier, Edmonds, Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace, Woodway and unincorporated areas of south Snohomish County.
