The two schools squared off on the basketball court as part of the March Madness For Matthew Truax basketball tournament, a fundraiser for the Nick of Time Foundation, at Meadowdale High School.

Truax, a Meadowdale junior, passed away last September due to an undetected heart condition. Money raised went to the Nick of Time Foundation, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating schools, athletes, families, and communities about Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) and death in young people. The foundation sponsors heart screenings at schools, including one at Meadowdale High School last February.
