Police investigating car-pedestrian crash that seriously injured Edmonds woman
Edmonds police traffic detectives are investigating a car-vs.-pedestrian collision that seriously injured a 69-year-old Edmonds woman Wednesday night at the intersection of 212th Street Southwest and 72nd Avenue West.
According to police spokesman Sgt. Mark Marsh, police received a call at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday from the driver of the car involved in the collision. The driver, a 37-year-old Lynnwood man, was eastbound on 212th Street Southwest when the pedestrian crossed 212th Street southbound at the intersection of 72nd Avenue West. She was walking adjacent to the crosswalk area, Marsh said.
The woman was transported to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries. Edmonds police traffic unit detectives determined alcohol was not a factor, said Marsh, who noted that it was dark and raining heavily at the time of the incident.
