Richard Beresford honored as 2014 Edmonds Daybreakers Rotary Professional of Year

Beresford Booth senior partner Richard Beresford Tuesday received the Edmonds Daybreakers Rotary Professional of the Year award. Beresford was chosen as the recipient of the award for his 41 years of service as a member of the Washington State Bar Association and numerous community service organizations including co-founder of the Edmonds Youth Club and president of the Edmonds Community College Foundation.

The award cited Beresford’s reputation “for impeccable honesty and high business ethics which have led to his being recognized as one of the premier attorneys in the Edmonds community. As a result, he is actively sought by a number of highly respected businesses as well as a number of non-profit organizations”.

Added James Blossey of the Edmonds Daybreakers Rotary Club: “His empathy and compassion coupled with exemplary business ethics have set a high bar for others in the legal profession.”

Beresford, who has worked at Beresford Booth for over 40 years, belongs to the Washington State Bar Association, the Snohomish County Bar Association and the American Arbitration Association, and also served on the Board of Directors for Mountain Pacific Bank.

Previous Edmonds Daybreaker Rotary Professional of the Year award winners were Ron Clyborne (2012), former Edmonds Chamber of Commerce President, and Teresa Wippel (2013), publisher of My Edmonds News.

  1. I have worked with him and found that he was very professional and pleasant to work with. Not surprised that he was recognized.
