Scene in Edmonds: A helping hand for Oso victims

Julia Wiese wanted to acknowledge the dedication of these young ladies who set up outside the downtown Edmonds IGA store on Saturday, handing shoppers a list of items they were collecting for the Oso Soup Kitchen, benefiting victims of the March 22 mudslide. "Since I was just heading in to pick up some pasta, I choose that off the list and filled up a grocery bag. I just wanted to give them kudos for their efforts as well as IGA for allowing them to set up outside their door," Wiese said.
