Baseball: Lynnwood sneaks by Edmonds-Woodway 4-2; Mavs down Shorecrest 12-0

warrior-logoLynnwood defeated Edmonds-Woodway 4-2 in a Wesco 4A baseball game Wednesday at Lynnwood High School.

Lucas Jungmann pitched five innings, allowing two hits and striking out five to earn the victory for Lynnwood.Joey Rees and Mac McLachlan each had doubles for Edmonds-Woodway in the loss.

Lynnwood improved to 2-1 in the league and 6-1 overall. Edmonds-Woodway fell to 0-3 and 2-6. The two teams wrap up the three-game series at 4 p.m., Friday, April 11 at Edmonds-Woodway High School.

The Mavs were led on the mound by Moises Valadez, who struck out seven and allowed two hits over five innings. On offense, Dakota Barlament and Kenley Ackerman each had two doubles and two RBI for Meadowdale.
