Can you provide a home for senior cat Katie, now at Adix?

Jeanne Schwarz asked if we could post this information, and we are happy to oblige:
Katie has now outlived two of her elderly owners. She has been at the Adix Bed and Bath for Dogs and Cats in Edmonds since December when her last owner passed away. She is declawed, litterbox trained, torti/tabby colors and in good health for a 15 year old cat. All she wants to do is be loved and sit on your lap. Please go take a look at her and let her live out her last few years in a home. With Spring time here, there are not enough kennels to keep her much longer. Edmonds Animal Control uses Adix for their strays and then they are adopted into new homes if no owner claims them. There is a small $65 rehoming fee to adopt her.The Adix’s Bed & Bath for Dogs & Cats is located at 21100 72nd Ave. W. in Edmonds, Washington, 425-778-7026. The kennel hours for adoptions are Monday-Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday 2 to 5 pm. They are closed from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. for lunch Monday-Saturday.

  1. I wish I could adopt her! I already have a 17 year old female that has not reacted well to other cats being brought into the house after her long-time companion passed away a few years back. I’ve reposted this and will ask around, though.

  2. I’m sure Katie would love the attention, while she’s waiting for a home. I feel bad that she’s been in a cage for 4 months now. I hope someone special will adopt her and bring her home! (I’m not able to, because my senior cat would not be happy to share me!) Otherwise, I would.

  3. Jeanne that is great news — I just came back to this story to check up on her status. 🙂 I’m sorry I won’t get to meet her but glad she found a home!
