City of Edmonds to host second annual Health & Fitness Expo May 17; exhibitors needed

Mark your calendars for the City of Edmonds’ second annual Health & Fitness Expo on Saturday, May 17 from 9-11:30 a.m. at the Edmonds School District Stadium, free and open to the public.

Kids and adults can test their agility and balance in the Active Zone obstacle course, raise their heart rate making a smoothie on the bike blender, get their blood pressure checked, try healthy snacks and receive a 10-minute massage. Visit over 30 health and wellness booths and be active in the Move 60! Kids Fun Run, the bike rodeo and many more activities.

The expo is organized by Edmonds Parks & Recreation, Move 60!, the Edmonds School District and Swedish/Edmonds, and is sponsored by the Verdant Health Commission, Edmonds Family Medicine and Walgreens.

In addition, event organizers are seeking health-, nutrition-, fitness- or wellness-related businesses to serve as expo exhibitors. Participants may have promotional materials and giveaways, and will need at least one person present to answer questions and provide information. There is no cost, but each exhibitor booth is required to have an interactive element or activity that will engage expo participants. New this year, exhibitor booths will be set up on the field so that they are closer to the active activities.
