Edmonds citizens have a chance to meet their newest city councilmember, Thomas Mesaros , at “Coffee with Harry” Thursday, May 1.

My Edmonds News contributor Harry Gatjens regularly hosts coffees where citizens can meet Edmonds government officials. The coffees last approximately 90 minutes and give citizens a chance to chat on an informal basis with the official.

This upcoming coffee will start at 10 a.m. May 1 at Chanterelle restaurant.. Free regular coffee will be provided, but if you want a fancy coffee or something to eat, you must pay for it yourself.

The rules are simple: You can ask anything you want but you must be respectful of both the guest and any ideas presented by other citizens. Councilmember Mesaros is generously giving up his time to listen to citizens’ opinions and answer questions.

Chanterelle is located at 316 Main, downtown Edmonds.

  1. If you can’t make it, but have a question, post it here and we wilk be sure to ask the Councilman

  2. This was a well attended session and Harry is likely to post an update. There were many thoughtful comments offered by folks and Council Member Mesaros was candid and thoughtful and is likely to do some follow up on points mentioned. He provided his insights on how he intends to carry out his responsibilities.

Thanks to Chanterelle’s for hosting this May Day event for Edmonds. No windows were broken during the session and all left peacefully.
