Edmonds-area high school sports roundup for Tuesday

Meadowdale 12, Shorecrest 1 (5)

Matt Hill allowed only one hit and struck out eight to lead Meadowdale to a 12-1 victory over Shorecrest in a Wesco 3A South baseball game at Meadowdale High School.

The Mavericks (3-1 in the league and 3-1 overall) only had five hits against the Scots (0-6, 1-8).

Lynnwood 8, Edmonds-Woodway 6

Chase Hacker was 4-for-4 with five RBI to lead Lynnwood to an 8-6 victory over Edmonds-Woodway in a Wesco 4A South baseball game at Edmonds-Woodway High School.

Kyler McMann was 2-for-5 with two RBI and Carson Hoerner was 1-for-4 with an RBI. Hoerner also earned the win, pitching 3 1/3 innings and allowing only one run.

Edmonds-Woodway led 6-4 after four innings before Lynnwood scored one run in the fifth and three in the sixth inning.

The Royals improved to 1-1 in the league and 5-1 overall. The Warriors fell to 1-1 and 2-5.
