If you’re like us, you’ve walked by the Edmonds Hobby Shop at 120 4th Ave. S. and always wondered what’s inside. David Carlos stopped by Saturday and met owner Rich Hunt, who has operated the business for 30 years.

“It was like stepping back in time, seeing model cars, planes, and boats, similar to the ones I built as a teenager,” Carlos said. “Before leaving, I just had to buy a P-51 Mustang. Going to assemble it tonight.”

Models planes, cars and boats fill the shop.

  1. Great to have. More people should stop in. Reminds me of one in my hometown that I regularly visited as a kid.

  2. So happy to see this little business featured in an article!!
We used to take our boys there when they were young, and it was always so nice to browses (and buy) the car and train stuff, or, special order some specific something our sons wanted.
Thanks for a wonderful reminder of another charming place to shop in Edmonds!!
