Edmonds-Woodway High’s robotics team M*A*S*H 4077, and Lynnwood High’s Royal Robotics Team 2522, competed with 64 teams at the Pacific Northwest District Championships in Portland. Royal Robotics was ranked 2 and M*A*S*H was ranked 12 out of 153 teams in the Pacific Northwest.

At the District Championships, M*A*S*H made it to the semifinals and earned enough ranking points to secure one of 24 places to represent the Pacific Northwest at the FIRST World Championships in St. Louis April 23-26.

Royal Robotics won the most prestigious award, the Chairman’s Award. This award honors the team that best represents a model for other teams to emulate and best embodies the purpose and goals of FIRST. They will also compete at the FIRST World Championships.
Both of these teams will be working on raising funds to cover travel expenses.

The Edmonds Public Schools & Alumni Foundation will match up to $2,500 in donated funds. If you would like to support the teams, visit the Foundation website and at checkout in the Order Notes section mention robotics.
