Edmonds City Council completes second day of training

The Edmonds City Council completed its second day of training Wednesday, aimed at improving their effectiveness. The latest session involved councilmembers only, without any city staff or the Mayor. My Edmonds News was there to video the session, which occurred in the Library’s Plaza Room. You can see our video of the first session here.

Led by Jim Reid, the session got more into specifics in interactions and identified ground rules that could be used to increase the council’s communications skills. A copy of the proposed ground rules is here. The council approved rules one through three and five through seven.

  1. Did anybody know that there is a special meeting this morning? I’ve been gone a couple days and very busy – but did I simply miss the related public notice?

Also, it looks like the original agenda was greatly shortened.
