McDonald McGarry Insurance will host a free shredding event and food drive on Saturday, May 3, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in the agency’s parking lot at 630 Main St. in downtown Edmonds.
In partnership with Grange Insurance, McDonald McGarry will have a shredding truck from LeMay Mobile Shredding on site, so that citizens can safely shred their records and confidential information.
People may bring up to three paper bags or office boxes of sensitive materials; there is no need to remove staples or paperclips. You can watch your information being shredded on the truck’s monitors. The event will last until 1 p.m. or until the truck is full, so early arrival is recommended.
McDonald McGarry Insurance is also collecting food for people and pets to be donated to the Edmonds Food Bank. When you pack up your boxes of documents, please consider including some food or kibble for those in our community in need.
During the event, there will be information on preventing identity theft and a drawing for a locking mailbox.
This is the sixth year that McDonald McGarry has hosted the shredding event. Call the agency at 425-774-3200 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
