Port of Edmonds ready to welcome Hart Crowser to Harbor Square Business Complex
A new tenant is looking to move to the Harbor Square Business Complex — Hart Crowser. According to Port of Edmonds Executive Director Bob McChesney, the Port Commission — which owns Harbor Square — in March approved a five-year lease with the Seattle-based environmental and engineering consulting firm, which already has an Edmonds office at 120 Third Ave. S.
Hart Crowser plans to occupy 5,443 square feet in Bldg-1 (190-West Dayton), plus 728 square feet of laboratory space in Bldg-5. Occupancy is subject to completion of tenant improvements; that date is uncertain until the bidding process and construction are complete — anticipated in August or September, McChesney said. At the Port Commission meeting Monday, April 28, the commission approved payment for tenant-related architectural and design specifications.
Also at the April 28 meeting, the commission:
- Approved payment of a $1,000 stipend to Edmonds School District 15 Music Department in consideration of their participation in the 2014 Sea Jazz summer music program at the Port.
- Approved the Edmonds Arts Festival 2014 summer arts program at the marina, including a $1,000 sponsorship of this year’s Edmonds Arts Festival.
