Get ready for a summer of construction and traffic delays at Five Corners, as the new roundabout takes shape.
The project kicked off this week with construction crews paving the way by removing and relocating landscaping and other features that will be replaced by the planned improvements. The final design calls for removal of unsightly power poles and overhead lines, and PUD crews are already on site preparing to underground the new utility lines and equipment.
Work crew supervisors say the project is “on track” and should be completed within the planned 120-day construction period.
