Snohomish County Fire District 1 officials to be honored at retirement ceremony Thursday

Snohomish County Fire District 1 Battalion Chief Paul Stredwick, Captain Skip Horne and Firefighter Dean Boyle will be honored on Thursday, May 29 at a retirement ceremony recognizing their service to the citizens of south Snohomish County.

The ceremony will begin at 9:00 a.m. at Martha Lake Fire Station 21, 16819-13th Ave. W. in Lynnwood. Parking will be available in the north and east parking lots of the neighboring Christ the Rock Church.

Stredwick is retiring with 24 years of service with Fire District 1 and the Mountlake Terrace Fire Department. In his role as battalion chief, he was in command at major incidents throughout Fire District 1’s service area.

Horne is retiring with 37 years of service with Fire District 1 and the Mountlake Terrace Fire Department. Horne is a hazardous materials technician and most recently served as a captain at Hilton Lake Fire Station 12.

Boyle is retiring after 24 years of service with Fire District 1 and the Edmonds Fire Department. His most recent assignment has been at Fire Station 17 in downtown Edmonds.
