The Garden Market opened last week to a typical spring day in the Pacific Northwest. We had some sunshine, some showers  and a little wind, all while celebrating the return of market season! We have many of our favorite farming vendors returning, like Frog Song Farm, Bautista Farm, Collins Family Orchards, and Martin Family Orchards, with more joining us as the weather improves and more crops ripen. As far as our farming friends, so many have returned to share their delicious foods, from pastries from Snohomish Bakery to jams, cheeses, butters, and more! So much to enjoy.

Looking for the perfect Mothers Day breakfast? Check out the bacon and eggs available at Sky Valley Farm, or check out Martiny’s Livestocks Lamb Bacon. Looking for dinner options to enjoy on the barbecue, there is a great selection of meats and veggies to help you celebrate the weekend. This week Frog Song Farm will add shitake and oyster mushrooms to their selection, with plenty of baby kohlrabi and arugula to enjoy. Bautista and ACMA farms will have a fine selection of spring asparagus, for barbecuing or steaming.

Martin Family Orchard will have plenty of their cider to take home for a family feast, and Collins will have pink lady apples, perfect to make a pie or just to enjoy.

Looking for something to eat while you shop? Falafel Salam joins us this week with a new expanded menu, Riverhouse Crepes returns with some sweet and hearty crepes, and La Strada Dolce will have fresh pizza to enjoy!

Finally, in honor of Mothers Day weekend, we have invited some of the artists who participate in the Summer Market to join us for this festive weekend. Check out the plaza and see who has all come to join the spring celebration.

So, stop on by, say hello and share a laugh with us! Pick up a happy spring bouquet from one of our fabulous flower farmers, and help us welcome spring to Edmonds!

Again, thank you all who join us weekly, making this such an amazing market.
