Larry Vogel was on capture special moments as the Edmonds-Woodway Class of 2014 got their diplomas Friday night in a blustery ceremony at Edmonds District Stadium. You can watch EWHS graduating senior Emma Howeiler sing “That’s Life” on My Edmonds News TV here.
The EWHS Class of 2014 enters the stadium, led by Assistant Principal Geoff Bennett.
The stadium was filled to capacity with parents and well-wishers, enthusiastically cheering for the new graduates.
The programs opened with the EWHS Mello-Aires vocal ensemble giving a virtuoso jazz-tinged rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner.”
A long tradition at EWHS is a gift of a stained glass window from the Senior Class to the school. This year’s window was designed and built by EWHS art students.
The diplomas were presented by Superintendent Dr. Nick Brossoit and EWHS Principal Miriam Mickelson. (Cole Conefrey is the student receiving his diploma.)
Maggie Mittelstaedt, with her service dog, leaves the stage after she receives her diploma.
