Recreational volleyball player – and Edmonds resident – Linda Coburn will play in the Washington Senior Games to be held in July. Folks 50 and older are invited to participate, and Coburn provided this preview of the tournament:
“I put a women’s volleyball team together to play in this year’s Washington Senior Games – and my husband Doug has put a men’s team together as well. This tournament is a qualifier and we are hoping to qualify for nationals in Minnesota in 2015. Some of my teammates came from my University of Washington Club Volleyball team. We met and played in the 1980s and we still manage to get together and play in some masters tournaments. In fact, this photo was taken at a masters tournament. All but Murphy (too young) and Gould (injured) will be competing in the Washington Senior Games with me.”
