The Edmonds Chamber of Commerce is spreading the word on shopping local in a new way by showcasing local service businesses. On Saturday, June 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the public is invited to the third annual Business Expo free of charge. The event is at the Edmonds Conference Center, 201 4th Ave. N.
Business Expo 2014 showcases more than 35 local service providers and gives visitors a chance to meet local business owners in person. Services featured include remodeling, construction, computer repair, social media, massage, theater, muralists and musicians. Valuable door prizes donated by expo exhibitors will be awarded hourly from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Edmonds Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Port of Edmonds, Comcast Business and the Rusty Pelican Cafe, presents this third annual event and invites the public to attend FREE of charge.
The Business Expo will have two seminars during the day, presented by local business owners. From 11 a.m. to noon, Sandy Bjorgen from Improv-able Results will offer “Business Networking 101: How to Get the Most out of an Event”. From 1-2 p.m., representatives from The Heart of Edmonds, the Nick of Time Foundation and Fire District 1 will provide invaluable information on heart health awareness, the safety/use of CPR and automated external defibrillators (AEDs).
