As expected, Five Corners roundabout construction and related traffic backups have been a challenge for businesses in the neighborhood. Expect to see more communications soon from the City of Edmonds and the Chamber of Commerce on this initiative, but meanwhile, My Edmonds News invites you to Shop Five Corners.

In coming days, we will publish individual profiles of local businesses and the services they offer. These profiles will also appear on a Shop Five Corners page on My Edmonds News, for future reference.

We encourage everyone to support Five Corners merchants.

  1. Tried to get into the veterinary clinic at 5corners yesterday and the workers had it all blocked off have to go up to 76thand go the back way not making it easy

  2. I’d like to help the businesses up there and I miss getting 5 Corners Teriyaki (yes, it’s the best in Edmonds). But if I go there it will make the congestion, and wait times, worse for the people that can’t avoid the area. I forgot about the construction once and it took 12 minutes to get through the mess. From what I’ve read parking down the street and walking there is also problematic. Is there a window when there is no construction and we can patronize the struggling businesses?

FWIW, I think the future roundabout will eventually be an improvement for the area.

  3. Whoever came up with this boondoggle all in the name of saving the planet needs their head examined ! Once it is done, the resulting accidents will be a money maker for attorneys suing the city…

In the meantime, there are some very good restaurants in Five Corners, which (and no thanks to the idiotic loop de loop planners) are excellent. Patronize the business if you can!

  4. Had a lovely family dinner last night @ Bar Dojo. We planned on going to the same old place in Seattle, but changed plans to support the the businesses who could use a little help.
