The Edmonds Summer Concerts in the Park series kicked off the 2014 season on a warm, sunny Thursday evening as The Winterlings, a Seattle-based folk duo, filled Hazel Miller Plaza with sweet vocals and easy acoustic accompaniment.

Comprised of Amanda Birdsall and Wolff Bowden, The Winterlings have received national recognition for their original songs and performance style. They are an American folk duo in the classic vein, playing songs that hark back to this country’s musical roots.

Their signature song, “Take Give,” developed a national following and was the third most played song on Sirius XM’s dedicated folk channel, The Village. For those who missed the concert we’ve recorded “Take Give” and posted it on My Edmonds News TV here.

Presented by the Edmonds Arts Commission and sponsored by the Hazel Miller Foundation, Lynnwood Honda, and Acura of Lynnwood, the Edmonds Summer Concerts in the Park series includes both Thursday evening performances at Hazel Miller Plaza and Sunday afternoon events at City Park.
