City of Edmonds Tree Board invites community to open house Thursday

The City of Edmonds Tree Board invites the community to attend its open house this Thursday, Aug. 14, from 6-8 p.m. in the Edmonds Library Plaza Room.

You can learn more about the Tree Board’s mission to engage, encourage and educate both city government and residents to protect and enhance the community forest for its long-term economic, environmental and social benefits for Edmonds. Information presented will include draft community forestry key objectives and some initial strategies, an introduction to the tree code and policy update project, and a proposal for an Edmonds Heritage Tree program.

There will be plenty of opportunity for public comment and participation at the event. More information and ongoing updates are available on the City’s website under “Tree Board.”
