Edmonds Classic Car Show to present roar of Cackle Thunder Sept. 7
The Edmonds Classic Car show will present Cackle Thunder at 1 and 3 p.m., when six top fuel dragsters come to life and roar their engines.
The list of participating dragsters includes national record holders and West coast World Champions: Jerry “The King” Ruth, Bucky Austin “The Northwest Hitter”, Herm Petersen “The Northwest Terror” and new this year “Kansas” John Wiebe’s top fuel dragster. Listen to them rattle a few windows and be sure to grab an autograph from the drivers and owners.
Sponsored by the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce, the car show features free admission and fun for the whole family.

• 10 a.m.-5 p.m. – Car Show
• 10 a.m.-8 p.m. – Beer Garden
• 4:30 p.m. – Awards
• 5-8 p.m. – Live Music
Kids World will have midget racecars, which the kids are allowed to climb all over and FREE pinewood derby car kits to build, paint and race on the pinewood derby track.
New this year is a beer garden for the adults; bring your ID and visit the garden from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. The garden will also feature live music from 5-8 p.m.
Vote for your favorite cars and raise money for charity at the same time. Each vote for costs $1 with all money benefiting the Edmonds Food Bank. Last year, the car show raised $900.
